Ashley & Zach's Engagement Session

Ashley, Zach, and I met together for coffee to discuss wedding details before booking and I loved just hanging out with them. Then we scheduled for the engagement pictures to be just the following week!  I was so excited!

Ashley and Zach are having their wedding at this same location (at the farm) and it's a beautiful place!  I can't wait!  I think some people don't realize how flexible I can be with time when it comes to engagement and bridal sessions.  Especially when the couple is really into the pictures! And they definitely were!

We started off in downtown Anderson and then moved the rest of the session to Zach's family's farm in Woodruff.  They also had gotten this beautiful antique victorian couch right before the session!  I told them that I was just eyeing that couch the other day!

Even though it was SUPER windy on the day of our session..... I think we got some great shots and we all had so much fun :)

Enjoy!

Black & White Fashion

Ya'll.... I am super excited to show this recent modeling session.

Mainly because it's different from my typical work.

I worked with a male model when usually I work with females.
It's simple, classic black and white, (when I usually play with color) and I also played with off camera flash when usually I just use natural light.

Max really wanted to model some suits near a classy location, particularly near a pool for a summer look, so I searched some hotels around Greenville and luckily Embassy Suites was kind of enough to let us use their facility.

It was a fun shoot and I definitely would love to try something like this again!

Enjoy!!

Penny

I love Penny!

I can tell already at 10 months that she's going to be a heartbreaker one day! ;)

Natasha was the very first bride I photographed in 2010.

And now I feel so privileged to be able to photograph her again... but this time with her 1st born!

A Simple Tip For Beginner Photographers

Okay this is a tip that is a "duh" for most people.

Which is why I'm sharing this only for those who just haven't gotten the "ah-ha!" quite yet.

Here's a scenario:  You and a photographer stand side by side... you both have the same camera and lens.... they take one picture and you take a picture in the exact same spot and you both come out with two TOTALLY different things.
And you wonder.... what???!  Obviously there could be many different factors of why... but I'll just share one of the reasons.... lighting.

Fun Packages!

When I first began giving my wedding clients their wedding CD in the mail or in person... that was basically all I gave them.  Usually it was just a plain CD with their names sharpied on them, a couple business cards put together with a paper clip, and a thank you note.

I began thinking about how that's not me.
